How to run a DWTS fantasy draft for two

A Dancing with the Stars fantasy draft turns the cast into your own competing teams. In Ballroom Brawlers, you and one rival take turns choosing couples from the remaining cast; every pick belongs exclusively to one player for the rest of the brawl.

First pick is random. The order snakes, both teams finish the same size, and every pick is final.

1. Check whose turn it is

When both players are ready, the game chooses the first player once. The Draft Room shows who is on the clock and the upcoming pick order. If it is your rival’s turn, wait for them to make their choice on their own account.

2. Follow the snake

Call the first player A and the second player B. The order begins A, B, B, A, A, B, B, A. After the opening pick, each player gets two consecutive turns as the order reverses.

In Sequin Showdown, Katie had the first pick and Shannon had the next two. The completed board records all twelve picks.

3. Pick from the available couples

On your turn, choose an available celebrity and professional partner. Your pick leaves the shared pool and joins your roster. Your rival cannot choose that same couple.

Take a moment before confirming. Picks are final: there are no trades, replacement picks or roster resets in a new brawl.

4. Meet your finished teams

Once all draft slots are filled, Our Teams shows both rosters. In this example, thirteen couples were available, so each player drafted six and one couple stayed undrafted.

Team size depends on the available pool. An odd-sized pool always leaves one couple out so the teams remain equal. Weekly predictions can still include competing couples outside your team.

Common questions

Is a DWTS fantasy draft the same as a bracket?

A bracket asks you to predict who advances or wins. In a fantasy draft, you choose a roster and earn points from those couples’ performances. Ballroom Brawlers combines a two-player draft with separate weekly predictions.

Does the creator always pick first?

No. First pick is assigned randomly when both players are ready.

What happens when one of my couples is eliminated?

The couple keeps the points already earned, including eligible points from elimination night. They stop earning future performance points, and you do not draft a replacement.

What if we miss the draft deadline?

Start a fresh brawl for the next verified episode. Players cannot reset the roster or extend the deadline.
